The Importance of Search Engine Optimization for a website

July 24, 2022

In this context, I’m going to explain the Importance of Search Engine Optimization for a website. The importance of search engine optimization to find a website on Google and other Search Engines easily But most of the time the debate about it is that Search Engine Optimization is important in reality. That is why we will discuss how important Search Engine Optimization for a website is on this blog.

What is SEO?

SEO means Search Engine Optimization. It is a set of rules for optimizing your website so that it can achieve higher rankings in search engines’ organic results. It’s the process to follow to increase the visibility of your website in search engines and get more traffic. SEO has two main goals. The first is to help you understand what users are searching for online. The second is to help you create a website that search engines can find, and understand its content.

Why is SEO is important?

We often spend money trying to drive traffic to online platforms and websites through advertising, most of which is driven by search engines. Now let’s get to the basics, the importance of search engines. If we try to bring traffic through SEO, it is more effective than advertising through money. Real SEO enables us to reach our content to the right searchers. For example, out of all U.S. searches, only 2.8% clicked on paid ads.

Suppose we want to download a song then we search by typing the line in any search engine. As soon as you click on the search button, google shows the names of some websites where the song can be found. Now it is natural for a question to arise in our minds, why do some sites come on the first page and other sites come on the next page?
Did Google do it on purpose or is there something else behind it? Of course, the ten websites listed on the first page of Google’s website contain something that is not found on the other websites. Something special is the SEO strategy, through which any site can be taken to the first page.

SEO is online marketing where once the keywords are ranked correctly, the traffic will continue to grow over time. In today’s competitive market SEO marketing is the most important. Per-day search engines serve millions of users looking for answers to their questions or solutions to their problems. If you have a website or blog, SEO can help you get free targeted traffic from search engines. Whenever a searcher searches for something in a search engine, it is most likely to enter any one of the 5 to ten results on the first page. So, to bring your website or blog to this first page, SEO is required in the right way.

SEO can put you ahead of the competition. Suppose five websites sell the same thing then the website with the best SEO among these five websites will come first. Therefore, to keep a website ranked high by any search engine, the use of SEO must be maximized.

SEO can usually be divided into two parts. Such as :

  1. On-Page-SEO
  2. Off-Page-SEO

On-Page-SEO

The purpose of SEO is to bring the website to a high ranking in the search engine, that is to bring it to the first page of the search engine. On-Page-SEO is the use of techniques/techniques such as website coding, metatags, keyword research, keyword placement, optimized content, optimized images, keyword density, etc. to achieve the goal.

Off-Page-SEO

Off-Page-SEO refers to the process of achieving objectives by using strategies such as links to other websites, social media links, forum postings, guest blogging, social book marketing, etc. without the internal code of the website.

Now let’s talk about some of the strategies of SEO !!
Meta Tags: Meta tags are very important for On-Page-SEO. The website should be used as a meta tag by collecting what potential visitors can search with. If the keywords that the user searches for match the meta description, Google will show it in bold.

SEO link structure: URL the address/domain name of the website has to be registered following the work of the website. If it is simple and understandable, it will be easily understood by both search engines and users. URL should not use ID or unnecessary parameters. Avoid using extra words in the URL.

SEO image: There is no option to use pictures on the website. However, the image must be described using the Alt attribute. This Alt text works as anchor text when no image is found. It is an advantage in search engines.

Creating robots.txt file: A robots.txt file is a file that tells search engines which pages will crawl and which pages will not crawl. This robots.txt file is in the root folder. If this is the case then not all the pages of a site are completed, then the search engine will not crawl those pages if you mention it in the robots.txt file.
